Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies NXT OpenViz (“OpenViz”) uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them, and similar technologies such as local storage, to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. OpenViz does not use cookies for cross-site advertising.
2. Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These let you sign in and stay signed in between requests. Without them, the service cannot function, so they cannot be disabled in the service itself.
Preference
These remember choices such as whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. They are optional and only set after you interact with the service.
Analytics
If enabled, these help us understand how the service is used so we can improve it. They are only set after you consent.
3. Cookie inventory
The table below lists the principal cookies OpenViz may set.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Keeps you signed in and secures your session. | Strictly necessary | Session / short-lived refresh |
| openviz:cookie-consent | Remembers your cookie notice choice. | Preference | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics identifiers | Measure usage and performance. | Analytics (opt-in) | Up to 12 months |
4. Third-party cookies
Some features or providers (such as our authentication or infrastructure providers) may set their own cookies. Those providers control those cookies, and their policies apply. Where analytics are used, the provider’s cookie policy will apply to its identifiers.
5. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you set preferences for first-party and third-party cookies. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from staying signed in, and may stop parts of the service from working.
You can revisit your analytics choice at any time: clear the notice from your browser storage and the banner will reappear so you can consent again or decline.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. We will indicate the “last updated” date below and reflect material changes on this page.
